Jord Page 11

Needing her naked, he stripped her of her clothes and then removed his own. She straddled his hips and placed her hands on his shoulders. He grabbed her ass and lowered her down on his hard erection, her breasts rubbing his chest as she rose and fell on his hard cock, rubbing back and forth on his lap.

He kissed her hard as she rode him, their bodies clearly made for each other. Her hair fell all the way down her back, the red strands brushing against the tops of his thighs.

"I need you to come, Flora. I am so close. Come on, baby!"

"Andar, aww, I am almost there!"

He rubbed her clit with one hand and she shattered in his arms, coming hard on his cock and causing him to come just as hard inside of her tight pussy, filling her and bringing them both the satisfaction they needed.

"I can't live without you," he said quietly. "Or maybe I can, but I don't want to. If that is what love is, then I am irrevocably in love with you."

She was slumped against his naked chest when she smiled and said, "I love you, too."

  Chapter 29

"Father, I have done everything you have instructed. As per our agreement, my banishment from Valhalla should be over. I am returning and bringing my wife, stepson, and his wife from the Ghost Realm." The gravelly voice of the old Norse god couldn't be hidden from his father by magic.

Loki gazed into the scrying mirror at Fenrir, his eldest son, father of all of the Lycans, thanks to an indiscriminate affair with the moon goddess.

The truth was that Fenrir had, in many ways, almost been their doom. He had played with their lives as one does rats in a chemistry lab, never once considering the importance or significance of another.

The Lycans of Earth knew Fenrir as Dr. Rinwald, but as Loki looked at his son, with Odin, Freya, and Thor a small way off, he wondered if bringing the feral wolf home was the best thing to do. However, foisting his problems on the Earth Realm hadn't helped anything.

"You have ensured the fall of the USLUF?" Loki asked shortly. This was imperative and the only bargaining chip that would bring the wolf home.

Fenrir snorted with derision, "All I need to do is press a button and the human government will be flooded with contraband information, illegal misdeeds, and transgressions that will not only disband it, but arrests will also begin immediately."

Loki nodded and looked around at the gods surrounding him. It was time. "Make it happen, Fenrir."

Thor smiled and said, "Welcome home, mutt."

  * * *

  "I don't understand."

Lance Moore, Allen Davis, and Rich James had all turned nineteen in the past six months. They knew something was going down with the dragons that had been visiting with the pack. News had reached the pack that the government was evaluating the USLUF because of some discrepancies and that Dr. Rinwald was nowhere to be found.

What was even more odd was, that morning, they'd heard the government disbanded the USLUF altogether. Because of the efforts the dragons went through to come help the Lycans, it was decided to jump immediately into the Mating Games.

And thus, the reason for the meeting where Lance, Allen, and Rich were finding themselves in a state of shock.

"Alpha," Allen frowned, "The Mating Games were deemed barbaric and closed over a hundred years ago."

Andar had to admit the young Lycan was well mannered and brave enough to speak his peace to his Alpha. He wasn't sure his young dragons would have the courage to do that to him.

"The Mating Games in the past were mandatory, where one was drugged and forced to pair male and female. The games of today will be pairings done based off of a system that will tell us your true mates."

  "Mates, as in plural?"

The Alpha nodded. "Yes, mates as in plural. It will most likely be a polyandry relationship, but we won't know for sure until the DNA is run and you are paired."

"Holy shit." Allen paled. "Are you expecting us to sleep with guys?"

"Not if you don't want to," the Alpha assured him. "You are not expected to do anything you don't want to do."

Rich spoke up, "But if you want to?"

"Then you can," Andar answered. "I have many dragons who enjoy both male and female partners, often simultaneously."

Rich wrinkled his nose. "But, I don't know how to say this—you are a dragon."

Andar raised a brow. "Thanks for noticing. Actually, pup, the pairings will be with dragons, fey, and Lycans. We are undecided if they are going to venture into the Ghost Realm or not. The pairings will be more like groupings of families or packs if that helps it seem more familiar."

Flora stepped forward. "If we are to win the battle with the Vernomi, we are going to need to strengthen ourselves. The wolves knew that they were dying and tried to build up their ranks by using the games to create a stronger race. However, breeding wasn't the answer to the problem."

Andar nodded. "Supernatural creatures derive power from several things. But one of the strongest ways to build that power is through sexual congress. If you want your warriors to be strong and healthy, they must be both trained in physical warfare and in the ways of the flesh."

"We are going to be warriors?" Allen looked over at Rich. While they were good-looking young men, they had a youthfulness to them that made it more than obvious that they didn't know long hours on the battlefield.

"Trust me." Andar continued. "You will become the men and women you were meant to be. Some of you will choose to mate, like Flora and myself. One on one pairings are common with dragons, but I want to warn you that there are many who live in alternative lifestyles as well. We do not have the strictures that Earth limits itself to."

The boys blushed, and Flora hid a smile.

"The games will be held in the Dragon Lands," Andar said. "We won't have the worries of exposure that you have here on earth. And my brothers and I still need to have our mates presented at the Dragon's Flame Ceremony. Besides that, your Lycan life spans won't be dwindling away like they do here. We have talked about it; all of the Lycans will be coming to the Dragon Lands if they wish it."

"It is a very kind offer." The Alpha reached out his hand to Andar and patted his back. "Thank you."

"There aren't that many Lycans left, barely more than a few hundred scattered across the country," Rich said hesitantly. "I just don't see how this will work."

Quin stepped forward, saying, "We have been gathering them; they will either heed the call or choose to live out their remaining years on Earth."

"Andar!" Quin came into the room and grabbed the remote to turn on the TV. Immediately, the news of the USLUF crumbling came blasting into the room.

The Lycans and dragons alike watched in surprise as swat teams infiltrated a government facility and removed individuals.

"What does this mean?" Quin turned to Andar. "Do you think they have abandoned ship?"

Andar's eyes narrowed. "It is terribly convenient, is it not? I would say that the tricky Norse gods have had a hand in it. Most likely, more of their machinations to get us to deal with the Vernomi. We gave the ultimatum that Fenrir wasn't to be allowed to remain on the Earth."

Quin scowled, "They are supposing that if they take Fenrir, we will fight the war of all the worlds? How fair is that?"

Gemma laid a hand on his arm. "The gods are never fair; they are only loyal to themselves. I think Quin is right."

"What happens now?" Rich's young voice broke up the conversation, and they turned to see the young men looking on with varying degrees of anticipation.

"Now?" Andar smiled. "We begin the next phase of our existence, one where dragons, fey, and Lycan come together, and when the time is right, we will fight. Mark my words, boy, when that time comes—we will win."

  Chapter 30

Jord glanced in the mirror as she was dressing. Slowly, her body had begun to heal and revert back to where she had once been. As she tipped her head to the side, Jord considered if she looked as broken and lost as she felt on the inside.

She narrowed her eyes and tried to
find the flaws that used to bother her—the wide hips that had born her four sons, her tall stature that had led thousands of dragons into battle, and the broad, fierce features of her face that had held the secrets of her people despite the torture the Vernomi had put her through. With a shudder, she turned away from the mirror.

She might be healing on the outside, but as Freya had once told her, it would take far more to heal her soul. Jord quickly dressed, throwing her long hair into a ponytail. She looked every bit as youthful as her sons.

Eternal life was one gift Jord had always cherished. It was puzzling to her that the wolves no longer had it. In the old days, before humans roamed the earth, the wolves had eternal life. Was it this Dr. Rinwald who had changed things, or had it been the Vernomi?

She knew that one could never trust a god. It was difficult, at first, for her to accept Zoe, for that very reason. She loved her sons more than life, and the desire was still there to protect them, even though they were fully grown.

After spending time with Zoe, Jord now was assured of her devotion to Cane. Quin had quite fallen for the Valkyrie, and there were talks of a Dragon Flame Ceremony to commemorate their mating. Andar was very taken with the lovely Flora; that was apparent to anyone with eyes. That left Titus and Ava.

Jord rubbed the goose bumps that raised on her flesh as she remembered what she had learned from Freya's vision. If she truly was the child from all those years ago, Ava was a powerful woman. It only begged to ask, what should Jord do?

It was obvious that she and Titania needed to clear the air. Jord wasn't sure if she would be able to hold her fire. How could Titania lie to her and embroil her in a war that had cost her all of those years from her sons? What other lies or half-truths had Titania fed her?

She knew what she had to do. It was risky, and her sons would never allow it. Jord slipped along the hallway until she came to a picture of a sun setting over the sea. There was nothing particularly interesting about this picture. Many dragons had passed it day in and day out for years, without even truly seeing it. The picture was rather ordinary, but what was extraordinary was what was behind the picture.

Jord touched the ornate frame on the left side then moved the same spot on the right. She repeated the same movements, but this time, when she touched the coil on the right, it began to unravel and reveal a key.

She snatched the key and moved the picture to the side to show a small keyhole. In a matter of moments, she inserted the key, and a secret compartment was opened. Cobwebs cloaked the passageway, and there had to be at least two inches of dust. It was obvious that her sons had never discovered this secret place.

She allowed the door to slide closed behind her and felt around until she was able to find the string to one solitary bulb. The room was cavernous and mostly bare, except for one small vial that rested on a dusty shelf.

Jord went directly to the vial and picked it up.

Suddenly, she had an attack of conscience. Jord had always been warned that one didn't mess with the dead. There had only been one other time she had summoned the god of the dead. His massive, imposing frame had made her feel like she was a mere child next to his raw, masculine magnificence.

He was also conceited as hell and warned Jord that the next time he saw her, he would be balls deep inside of her.

Jord bit her lip, wondering if perhaps she should just set the vial down and return to the throne room.

Just as her hand waivered, she heard him speak. "Little flower, you have come for a taste at last."

Jord whipped around, dropping the vial in the process. But it didn't matter; there he was, standing in the flesh, devastating and dripping with sexual awareness, damn it!

"I need your help." She hated that her voice shook.

A small smile broke across his dark visage, looking strangely bright as he flashed his brilliant white teeth.

"You need me, and I need to taste between your thighs. Surely, we can come to an arrangement?"

Jord swallowed her nerves and shook her head. "No, Nikodemus, I don't want your tricks."

Nik moved closer, like a panther hunting his prey. "You don't know what you need, little flower. But never mind that; you have finally come to me, and now you will be mine forever."
